The Challenge: Create a Public Art Installation for a Fredericton Roundabout
Concept: A comment on a social issue. My choice: Fredericton's Progress Toward Homelessness as shown by the tiny home community.
Specifications:  Roundabout design must be simplistic (easily viewed by passing cars), be elevated above traffic, and consider how the structure will appear during the day and at night.

Phase 1: Perform research and create a mood board
Phase 2: Ideate and sketch; radial designs especially appealed to me not only because they mimic the shape of the roundabout but also because passers-by can appreciate the sculpture from all angles.
Phase 3: Create prototypes of the design
(also tested some colour pencil combinations here)
Phase 4: Create a 3D Model
3d Model Materials: Coloured pencil, paint, wood, paper, painter's tape
Model Dimensions: 10 x 6 x 10 inches

Proposed materials: Painted aluminum illuminated by solar lights
Proposed Dimensions: Scalable

Phase 5: "Install" the 3D model in a photographic environment
Note: A base was added to ensure visibility by passing cars.
